About the Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood Programs

The Healthy Marriage (HM) and Responsible Fatherhood (RF) programs are discretionary grant programs administered by the Office of Family Assistance (OFA) within the Administration for Children and Families (ACF). OFA also works with the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation, within ACF, as one way to learn how to best serve families through the grants.

OFA published funding opportunity announcements (FOAs) for the 2020 round of HMRF grants. Under these FOAs, OFA made grant awards to organizations, states, and other entities to provide activities that promote healthy marriage and relationship education and responsible fatherhood.

This website provides resources to help HMRF 2020 grantees monitor their performance and implement program improvements. The site also shares interactive findings from cross-site analysis of the HMRF 2015 grants and the clients they served. Numerous other resources on program and evaluation design and HMRF research are also provided.
